Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez were investigated in conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar's extortion case

In 2017, Indian actresses Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez were investigated in the extortion case of conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Chandrashekhar was arrested for allegedly demanding and accepting money from politicians and celebrities, including Fatehi and Fernandez, in exchange for keeping sensitive information about them private.

Fatehi was questioned by the Mumbai Police for her alleged involvement in the case. She denied any wrongdoing and stated that she had only met Chandrashekhar once at a party, where he had approached her for financial help for his sick father. She claimed that she had given him money out of sympathy and was unaware of his extortion activities.

Similarly, Fernandez was also questioned by the police regarding her alleged involvement in the case. She too denied any wrongdoing and stated that she had only met Chandrashekhar once, at a party hosted by a common friend. She claimed that he had asked her for financial help for his sick father and she had given him money out of sympathy.

However, the police reportedly found evidence of several phone calls and messages between Chandrashekhar and the actresses, which suggested that they had a closer relationship than they claimed. The police also found evidence of large sums of money being transferred between the actresses and Chandrashekhar, raising suspicion about their involvement in his extortion activities.

Despite the evidence, both Fatehi and Fernandez maintained their innocence and claimed that they had no knowledge of Chandrashekhar's illegal activities. The case is still under investigation and the actresses are currently not facing any charges.

Overall, the extortion case involving Sukesh Chandrashekhar brought attention to the questionable behavior of some celebrities and their potential involvement in illegal activities. It remains to be seen whether Fatehi and Fernandez will be held accountable for their alleged involvement in the case.
